Review of WorldVitalRecords.com
This is a new – and growing – site with many of the usual databases, but pared down somewhat and with a few surprises and extras (e.g. The US Naval Academy yearbooks and “Genealogy News”). This is a perfect for beginners and one that we're very impressed with. World Vital Records offers free content to ALL visitors, along with premium databases for theirr paying members (from all 50 states and 11 countries). They provide international and U.S. data bases, links to top genealogical resources, articles and podcasts by experts, and training classes to help you learn how to do genealogy online.

World Vital Records.com offers many valuable databases, including: Here's What We Like About WorldVitalRecords.com 1. They have one of the largest collections of genealogical data online. Members have access to over 2 billion names in more than 3,000 databases. Last check they were "connected" to over 117 countries and are continually adding new records so your results will continue to improve over time. 2. We love their specialized databases and found some that we couldn't find elsewhere on the Internet, such as the US Naval Academy's Lucky Bag Yearkbook images. 3. As their name suggests, they have very robust international databases such as The Passenger and Immigration Lists Index (PILI); 9,000 passenger lists from The Immigrant Ships Transcribers Guild; large Australian databases and much more. 4. Visitors can browse by database title, place, popular collections, and more. Lots of great options here... 5. This is a big one... they have exclusive access (we haven't confirmed if this is true, but so far, we haven't found another site that offers this) to newspaper archives. What does that mean to you? Well, it means that you can actually view stories about your loved ones just as they appeared in their local papers! This is a great feature!
